Florida’s Economy Is Now the 14th Largest in the World

Florida continues to strengthen its position as one of the world’s fastest-growing economies. According to the Florida Chamber Foundation, the state’s economy has reached an estimated $1.8 trillion, making it the 14th-largest economy globally after surpassing Australia and Mexico.

The state’s economy grew 6.3% over the past year, fueled by strong job creation, business investment, and continued population growth. Florida also continues to rank among the nation’s leaders in new business startups, higher education, manufacturing job growth, and business migration.

This milestone brings Florida one step closer to the Florida 2030 Blueprint goal of becoming one of the world’s top 10 economies by 2030.

For homeowners, buyers, investors, and businesses, a strong economy often translates into increased demand for housing, commercial development, and long-term real estate opportunities throughout the state—including here in South Florida.
